Mike Borella is a full-time attorney and part-time writer. A partner at a mid-sized Chicago law firm, he represents high-tech clients in matters involving intellectual property (IP). Before entering the legal profession, he was a software executive and occasional academic. His legal writing has made him a sought-after commentator and speaker on IP rights. Outside of law, he has authored over 1,000 reviews of avant-garde music albums and performances.
