Tom Valovic

Tom Valovic studied poetry with Anne Sexton, Robert Lowell, and John Malcolm Brinnin. He was the recipient of Boston University’s Sneath Poetry Award in 1969. Tom has published poetry, essays, and creative work in a wide variety of publications including Cathexis Northwest Press, Metapsychosis, Prickly Pear, Boston University Journal, Annals of Earth, Wisdom magazine, the Whole Earth Review, Spirit of Change, and Yankee magazine. Tom also is the author of Digital Mythologies (Rutgers University Press) which explored the complex relationship between culture and technology and, in that capacity, has written for the Boston Globe, the San Francisco Examiner, Media Studies Journal, Common Dreams, Counterpunch and many other publications. He was the first journalist to report on the advent of the public Internet. Tom can be reached at cloudhands5885@gmail.com and welcomes reader comments.
