Turn It Up: A Night of Sound, Story & Fury!
Drop in for a night dedicated to local audio wizard Roger Dinardi’s new album “12 Notes for 7 Stories”—a musical hero’s journey through universal narrative structures. We’re keeping it simple: first, we’ll sit down together, STFU, and listen to the album from start to finish. After the full album experience, we’ll party like it’s 2025, with an open jam and hangout. All musicians—and all people—welcome! Come for the music, stay for the community revelry.
About the Album
“12 Notes for 7 Stories” explores seven universal story archetypes through a creative musical landscape. From battling monsters to cosmic comedy, this 30-minute sonic journey blends expert composition with playful experimentation, crossing genre boundaries while still being rock ‘n roll (to us).
When COVID-19 affected Roger’s hearing in 2020-2021, leaving him with auditory distortions and constant tinnitus, he found himself at a crossroads. Instead of stepping away from music, he leaned into creation. “Every sound was a struggle, but I kept going,” says Dinardi. “I decided to create an album as a way to re-learn how to hear and play music.”
The result is both personally meaningful and musically inventive—a testament to finding new creative paths even when you feel doomed.
