Six spots left in Cosmos Co-op Writing Circle
Dear Community Members,
We’re lucky to count a good number of writers in our community of Cosmos Co-op members and Metapsychosis readers — maybe you’re one of them, piecing together words to express ideas, images, and stories that no one else has thought of before, or maybe you’re still reluctant to apply the term “writer” to yourself, and yet you can feel the drive to create gaining strength inside you.
Whether you’re experienced, or just at the beginning of your journey, the Writing Circle might be the community you’re looking for. Members meet twice a month over Zoom to share their work and get feedback. The goal is to encourage and build each other up, but also to dig into the nuts and bolts of the writing craft, and work together to figure out how to make our writing as sharp and powerful on the page as it is in our minds. Writers in literally any stage or genre are welcome—non-fiction, fiction, poetry or prose, we all have something to learn from one another!
Let me introduce myself as facilitator. I’m the author of the verse novella Ulfhildr, published with Untimely Books, as well as numerous short stories in the literary, fantasy and science fiction genres. I enjoy creating and selling comics zine fairs across Canada, and I’m in the throes of writing a historical novel set in Greenland. My favourite thing about writing is meeting and talking to other writers, so don’t be shy to come introduce yourselves!
Participation in the Writing Circle is free for members of the Cosmos Co-operative, and there is also a paid option for non-members here. There are six spots left in this year’s group, which will have its first meeting on 14 April.
Looking forward to writing with you!
Mary Thaler
